by KRISTEN MOONEY High School Program Manager | Best Buddies California Prom is one of the most exciting events of the year for many high school students and Carlsbad High School is no exception.  Keyrollos, the Chapter President of Carlsbad, organized a group from Best Buddies to attend prom on May 16, 2009. The Buddies and Peer Buddies dressed to impress for the night.  The group of girls had their hair done and helped one another with make up.  Everyone from the chapter met before the dance to take pictures and enjoy dinner together.  Then the group carpooled over to Camp Pendleton for the big event. The Buddies wasted no time getting out on the dance floor and many of them stayed there the entire night.  The chapter members were seen laughing together all night long and when the prom king and queen were announced, the Buddies cheered louder than anyone. When it came time to leave, everyone was smiling from ear to ear, despite being exhausted from all of the dancing.  Thanks to the hard work put in by Keyrollos and the other Officers, Carlsbad High School's 2009 prom was a night to remember.  The chapter is hoping to make prom an annual event for Best Buddies.
